The Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) Program offers grants to farmers, graduate students, educators, researchers, agricultural service providers and others who work with farmers to address key issues affecting the sustainability of agriculture in the Northeast region (Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.).

They are always looking for potential reviewers to join the Technical Committee. Doing so does not obligate you to review any particular program, but it puts you on the list for people who will be asked. There are two main sets of review periods, spring and fall. Farmers are compensated for their time.

The review teams are always very well-organized, and contain a mix of academics, farmers, and extension. Please consider signing up.
